Disability Benefits Education Services
It took me over a decade to start the process for VA Benefits because of the daunting effort it took and lack of knowledge on where to start. I tried it on my own and failed due to lack of records. I tried the VSOs, DAVs, and VFW; none worked for me.
There are varying situations. For example, not all persons from the accredited establishments work the same; some may do more than the others. The hard fact is: non-profits or minimal cost assistance programs leads to minimal effort and limitations.
We do not request compensation if there is no increase, despite the services provided. We win as a team with a successful claim. Even though there is no guarantee, I will not give up on the process. I will not finish until your are compensated for what you deserve.
You can review the website for more information, or schedule a meeting with me. It is a quick, 30-min call to review your information and answer any additional questions and concerns.
You will want to lock in the effective date for your “Intent to File” (ITF). This will secure any back pay that you may be entitled to. You have 1 year from this date to submit your claim.
After the initial call, you decide if you would like to team up. You remain in control with no pressure.
My Administrative Assistant and I will give you step- by-step instructions on what we need to proceed. We will review the information gathered to come up with a plan of action.
We will never ask for any upfront fees, because we understand, in most cases, that your current benefits do not line up with what you deserve. If you do not get an increase, we do not seek any compensation. Depending on your records and disabilities, we may recommend that you seek medical doctors for supporting data for your claim. Doctors may have their own fees to be paid prior to their services.
Absolutely not. We will not request any compensation unless you receive an increase. All cases of potential cost will be discussed in our initial call with clarity and transparency.
You will be working with myself and my assigned Administrative Assistant (AA). The AA will strictly deal with correspondence on documents, forms, etc. Every other correspondence will be between you and I.
You will be informed on what is required for each claim you choose to submit. You will have to complete certain documents for the VA, and we will provide those forms to you.
You will communicate your scheduled appointments with us, and we will track the dates for you. We will provide reminders via email and text and speak prior to the visits. We want to assure you are well-prepared.
No. Working with me, means working with me. I am your Educational Coach and will be with you from start to finish. This can be a month, a year; however long it takes.
Yes. It usually means the VA requires an exam or records for that issue. We can help.
Remember, if you lose, we lose. No increase, means no request for compensation from us. We will continue to work for you until we get you an increase. We stand in your corner during this process.
If you are enrolled in VA Health, we highly recommend that you continue with all ongoing appointments. This will help your claim for any disability you may be seeking benefits for.
Unfortunately, not. 100% means you’re at the max pay. Not being marked “P&T” means the VA thinks your conditions might improve and they’re keeping the door open for future exams and possible changes. Getting to 100% P&T is about proving “this is lifelong, not getting better,” not about chasing a higher dollar amount.
You are being paid at the 100% rate even though your combined schedular rating is below 100% due to TDIU (Total Disability based on Individual Unemployability) or Temporary 100% ratings (surgery, hospitalization, convalescence, active cancer, etc). You do not have a 100% schedular rating in those situations, but your paycheck matches 100%.
I cannot help you due to the risk of losing your 100% pay during the process. Should the VA make the decision to reduce your pay to match your actual rating, then I can be there for you to educate on next steps.
No. I cannot guarantee or promise a favorable outcome. There are many variables from how a C&P exam goes, to who is reviewing from the VA, verbiage in the forms that you have to write, or buddy statements to the VA. But I can say, whether you are approved the minimum, maximum, in between, or denied—I will be with you for the next step.
